KIM SPOONER, LMHC, CCTPII
PSYCHOTHERAPIST AND PRACTICE OWNER
Kim opened Healing Trauma Center in March of 2024 but the vision spanned years in the making. The vision came about due to knowing that clients needed more to support the healing path from a psychological/holisitic whole person perspective. Kim spent 20+ years a child care provider and worked with many children and families. For the past 12 years Kim has been a psychotherapist working with populations across the lifespan. Trauma informed care is her focus but generalized psychotherapy is also practiced. She uses an eclectic approach incorporating EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), as well as Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Somatic treatments, cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing among others.
She is passionate about her work and works diligently to ensure a positive client therapist relationship that ensures the client feels heard, seen and respected on their unique journey to wellness. During off time Kim enjoys spending time with her husband and adult children and grandchildren and traveling whenever and wherever possible.

She brings a warm, nurturing approach that allows children to feel safe and supported. Her clinical focus includes trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity and relational work. She takes a client-centered approach, incorporating motivational interviewing, narrative therapy, and logotherapy to help clients access and identify their inner strengths and move toward creating a purposeful life. Nikeisha is motivated to consistently improve her skills through certification courses and staying up to date on research. While her primary focus is working with children, she also holds space for adult clients seeking support.
Outside of work, she is a creative spirit who enjoys crafting, gardening, hiking, swimming, and rollerblading. Her love of plants, foraging, and plant identification inspires her long-term goal of incorporating horticultural therapy into her clinical practice.

Erika
As an intern therapist, I offer a compassionate, affirming, and trauma informed space for individuals seeking support in navigating life's challenges, processing trauma, and deepening self understanding. I am passionate about working with adults, am LGBTQ+ & neurodivergent friendly, and I approach therapy through a person centered lens that honors each person's unique lived experiences.
My work is deeply grounded in the belief that the therapeutic relationship itself is a powerful tool for healing. I aim to build a collaborative, trusting connection where clients feel empowered to show up authentically. Together, we explore the roots of current struggles, develop insight, and move toward meaningful change.
I will be training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidenced based method for processing trauma and reducing distress related to painful memories, negative beliefs, and emotional blocks.
EMDR can be especially helpful for clients navigating complex trauma, PTSD, grief & loss, and negative core beliefs. In addition, to EMDR techniques, I integrate relational, psychodynamic, and mindfulness-based approaches. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, attachment wounds and relationship challenges.
Above all, I hold deep respect for each clients resilience and autonomy. Therapy isn't about "what's wrong with you" - it's about actually, "what happened to you". My role is to walk alongside you, offer insight and create a space where healing and growth can happen. During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife, our 4 dogs & 1 cat-dog, camping kayaking, hiking, floating down a river, and I am a Mountain View enthusiast
Julio Cruz

Julio Cruz, MA student intern working towards LMHC licensure
My professional career initially began in emergency services as a paramedic, instructor and teacher in Puerto Rico for 12 years. It was there that I witnessed the lack of help and support for mental health, which lead me to want to part of the field of study in this area. I currently hold a bachelor's degree in psychology from Ana G. Mendez University and am currently in my final yer of an internship for a master's degree in mental health counseling at the same university. My first language is Spanish and my second in English, and as an intern I want to offer my services, support and assitance to clients of all ages.
